Grow in me

Touch the hurting places not yet reached

A prayer for today as we begin our journey through Lent. 

May it bring inner peace.

Lord, help us always to find Your Sacred Peace -
That perfect peace not of the world
That lifts,
Transcends,
Unburdens,
Strengthens,
Heals.

The Spiritual Journey

The SPIRITUAL JOURNEY 

I have just completed a Counselling Certificate in Spiritual Care Course. 

Before I began the course I was feeling quite worn-out and drained, but now, coming to the end, I feel renewed, alive, on fire with music and creativity ! That is the power of Spiritual Care, which is not even necessarily about religion. 

This video sums up our own insights into living in the Heart of Love . First you cry out, you seek God, God always responds in some way, either directly or indirectly through others, bringing Love to touch you in some way, helping you to grow in your spiritual life. The Spirit comes.

We call this transfigurative moments that then require transformative action as you live your life in God. They take a life time to be lived!

I composed the music myself. It uplifted me into a cry and that cry became a beautiful l expression of praise.

Today is the beginning of Lent. Here is a prayer to ask for healing, light, guidance as we journey through Lent towards Easter.

 Lord, show me who I am

 Show me my purpose

 Lead me to love

 Guide me through the chaos

 To an oasis of goodness

 Where hope abides

 And love heals

 And your light shines brightly

 Giving me a new vision

 Full of possibility.

 Amen

For those who are struggling

I feel desolate today - Lord lift me up and bring me comfort

I feel broken by the suffering - Lord reach out to touch and mend me 

I have no hope left - Lord restore me with Your  Spirit

I cannot bear the endless pain - Lord give me Your strength to carry me

I am tortured by everything - Lord heal me now, save me now, I beseech You

I am invisible and hurting - Lord help me feel seen and known

I am beaten today - Lord help me keep going

I feel unloved and unloveable - Lord fill me with Your Love. Amen

Not everyone can feel the Joy of Christmas or engage in celebration or interaction. If you are someone struggling at Christmas, may this prayer give strength and bless you. Amen
