God’s Will

I was struck, again, when praying the Our Father, about  the meaning of ‘Thy Will be done.’ It sounds scary to give your power away, to trust in someone else’s will not your own, but when you reflect on its meaning, it can bring great comfort and deeper understanding. In fact you do not give up your will, rather you reach higher, spiritually.

For us, God’s Will is only ever Love and Mercy, therefore if we align our will with that awesome power of Love, who knows what is possible. Fear  can mask the truth. Exaggerate painful concerned. We can never know the future till it is upon us. Trusting in God’s Will helps us live in confidence and trust that a way will be found, a blessing will come, there is hope even in the most difficult situations.
