28 years of intense suffering without resolve sometimes makes us feel as if we are abandoned despite our trust and faith in God. Our daily reality overwhelms our belief in goodness to prevail.
Even though we know it cannot be so that God has not heard or helped us, because our God is a God of love and healing, and He promises that He is with us, it still feels desolate here often. This song is an expression of the devastation we often feel.
