A Blessing for trees

Let us pray for the Earth and especially bless the tress, so essential for all life, as we come toward Earth Day on the 22nd April..

I bless the space

Where the tree once stood

A place full of grace

And beauty

Now gone

I bless the tree

That once stood in the space

And sheltered the birds

And sang to the breeze

And shimmered with light

And made our life bright

I bless all the trees

Now present or gone

That touch our lives

In unknown ways

And brighten

The most drear

Of days
