Lord, we ask that you shield
And come to the aid
Of all those in need of protection,
That your angels guard them
and guide them safely
Through each moment, minute, hour, day.
May hope remain a solace
In the fortresses of their hearts,
May truth and justice strengthen them
May unexpected goodness
Find each person’s life
And bless it,
Even in the times of greatest struggle.
May fortitude win through
In every circumstance and distress.
